"I believe one police officer died.That is incorrect. A police officer who participated in the Jan. 6 events did die, but it was the next day, at home, from a stroke, unrelated to any Jan 6 events.

Take out the political opposition by creating an event to blame on them. While the Jan 6th event can be seen somewhat as such, the timing to disrupt the questioning of the election seems be the main goal.
