He said he didn’t have a racist bone in his body and chastised the rest of us for our beliefs.

As I said, there is evil racism. Probably working at the liquor store he encountered the evil racism blacks. There are many degrees of separation between the evil kind, and the rest of us who are wary - should that be called racism?

I'm very wary of my surroundings in order to avoid being a target. That comes from multiple encounters where I've been jumped and beaten, threatened with knives and guns, and had family and friends robbed and assaulted. Having said that, I have had close black friends, neighbors, co-workers, blacks on my team I managed, and even blacks married into extended family (my sister's son married a black woman and I like her). No one should say they don't have a racist bone in their body, if they're wary of another race in order to survive.

Nation: a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory.

A white nationalist (as distinct from a nationalist who happens to be white) is somebody who regards his fellow Americans of European descent as his nation, and is primarily loyal to that nation.
