The Russians weren’t going after the foreign mercs, they were targeting a meeting of Ukrainian commanders at the 56th Motor Brigade HQ.
I agree it’s careless to wear American gear there, but these mercs are just like that. They like to look cool. It’s certainly a tipoff the guy is really a merc not currently serving (if he ever did) and is not a “gray suitcase”.
Read the link you posted, he already knows his troops are not paratroopers (Airborne), they are helicopter troops, (Air Assault).
You can’t stand to be wrong, so you change the definition of “airborne” to mean *only* paratroopers (when in modern use it includes both air assault and paratroopers).
Maybe you should call up the good general and tell him he needs to change the name of 101st Airborne to 101st Non-Paratroopers to suit your definition.
Among the people present at the restaurant were a couple of guys from the Netherlands that have been driving around Ukraine bringing french fries and other snacks to the elderly, children, and others in need. They regularly post videos of their efforts, and they were in the restaurant.

Their video shows the immediate aftermath of the attack. One of them has somebody else's blood splattered all over him.
You can see the police arriving, and soldiers arriving to help.
You can also see that the hotel next door to the restaurant is not damaged except for broken windows. The entire story about the hotel being hit is just not true.
You can see for yourself what building got hit in the attack. It isn't the multi-story hotel next to the restaurant.
Our Russian propaganda posters here on Free Republic have shown their true colors today. They are supporting terrorists who intentionally bomb civilians.
The answer is none of the above. The people present are Ukrainian civilians and aid workers. They guy in the white shirt provides food to people in need. You can read all about him here .
No doubt we have “special operators” on the ground there, but those guys in the videos aren’t. See my post #42.
Do you have to use google translate to post? Regardless of the talking points you might have, the rocket or rockets hit the restaurant, not the hotel. You can see that from the videos taken in the immediate aftermath. See my other post for links.
The posts you jumped in on were about paratroopers, and parachutes, not helicopter-delivered soldiers.
As an ex-paratrooper, I have never heard any soldier or veteran in my entire life, including in my veteran’s group describe himself as Airborne who wasn’t a paratrooper, but regardless, the post I responded to was about the 101st and parachutes.

The SSU [#СБУ Security Service of Ukraine] detained an agent of the Russian special services who corrected a Russian missile attack on a cafe in the center of Kramatorsk on June 27 [2023], the head of the SSU, Vasyl Malyuk, said.
According to the investigation, the enemy agent is a resident of Kramatorsk, an employee of the local gas transportation company.
Previously, he was remotely recruited by the Russian game, and during a full-scale invasion, he was "activated" and assigned the task of gathering intelligence about the bases and movements of the Defense Forces in Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.

Sorry, you would know that too if you took a few minutes to watch the video I posted and look at google maps. The videos begin moments after the impact, before the smoke clears and before the police and ambulances arrive. You can see where the primary impact was, along with the resulting smoke and fire.
The hotel is the multi-story concrete building next door, not the smaller building that was hit.
I don't need help. You need to stop sucking up Russian propaganda and start looking at video, maps, and reality.
There was the guy with the Primus Inter Pares patch. Slogan of the US First Air Defense Artillery (better known from before they added “Air” as the losers at Fort Sumter). Patch is significantly different, however.
