What’s APNEA. Is it catching? Is there a vaccine? Is a CPAP thingie like an N95 mask worn six feet from other people washing hands?

Nope. There was a health report that came out within the past year or so. No mention of this, and again, very hard to believe this just started in the past few weeks.

Continuous fixed positive pressure (CPAP) applied to the upper airway acts as a pneumatic splint and prevents collapse of the upper airway during inspiration. Nasal CPAP was first described in 198114 and has since become the first line of therapy for OSA. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approves CPAP use in patients with moderate or severe OSA (AHI ≥ 15) and in patients with mild OSA (AHI ≥ 5 – 14.9) that have documentation of one of the following: excessive daytime sleepiness, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, history of stroke, impaired cognition, mood disorder, or insomnia.15

A surprising bit of medical disclosure. Now can we get the rest? Will he make it to 2024? If all voters know he is getting such ongoing treatment and is in failing health, we they still vote for him or risk Harris?
Where's reporting asking which model, is it working, and other 'innocent' questions.
Where's a poll asking the American people if they know about this, if it changes their opinion about his readiness to continue with a second term?

My Dad had difficulty using one.
I put him on O2, at 3 lpm with a nasal cannula. He would sleep through the night. No stopping breathing or snoring. Took O2 sat rates every 30 minutes, through the night and they were always 96%+.

With heart failure, your heart becomes a weaker pump. Over time it becomes less effective at pumping oxygen-rich blood through your body. This may cause your oxygen levels to drop. When oxygen levels drop, you may become short of breath or winded. - thus the need for a O2 mask 10 minutes before you get in front of the press gaggle.

That’s not always true I’ve worn a CPAP machine for over 15 years and never had any problems listed.
It can be caused by people sleeping on their backs with an open mouth which depresses the upper respiratory system and causes excessive snoring.
A lot of people are born with the condition
It’s nothing serious if the machine is worn regularly and is providing the proper air flow

I wear a CPAP mask they are held in place to your face by straps, it’s not nearly as serious as the article or others have implied
