My theory is that China basically already controls Taiwan, as they have moles planted everywhere in the government and industry there.
But they use Taiwan to get secrets from the US, as the US still treats Taiwan as an ally. So it’s useful to keep the charade going.

Perhaps the CCP has controlled China AND Taiwan for years, from the relative safety of Taiwan.
The photo op looks like blinky is shaking the “hand” of a XI cardboard cutout.
If we had Trump, so many things would be working and working better instead of collapsing.
That look on Blinken’s face makes me wonder if the ChiComs have told him they want Trump’s head on a platter...
