This is right out of the Deep State playbook. Put forth a fake whistle blower or informant who gets people chasing shadows and then disappears the person who never existed in the first place.

The pee tapes ploy, meant to attack Trump, never existed. The Biden tapes ploy, meant to detail Grassleys and Comer’s investigations, don’t exist.
