One would wish to say that one has little interest in whatever Kevin McCarthy is passing gas about.
McCarthy is definitely two-faced. He prevented Comer from holding Wray in contempt. Just pulled the rug out from under him.
Comer’s subpoena demanded the FBI, Wray in particular, to HAND OVER THE WHISTLE BLOWER DOCUMENT ENTIRELY! That way, they could read it into the Congressional Record, and everyone could actually see the evidence.
Instead, McCarthy forced Comer to compromise and allow the FBI to keep the doc, no copies to anyone, just show it for a bit in a SCIF. That’s NOT what the subpoena demanded!!!!
So now, Raskin can be all over TV doing his spin, He-said-she-said lies. Comer and everyone can’t peoduce the evidence, so it’s a wash. Then bingo, they indict Trump to change the narrative.
I predicted the “SCIF only viewing, no hand over” awhile back. That they would cave. That we’d never see it.
Because that’s what R leadership does. Because THAT’S what their big donors demand. Gotta keep Daddy Warbucks flowing.
McCarthy is a snake, and took Biden Bribery off the headline news. Comeris putting a happy spin, but...
WHERE’S THE EVIDENCE??? Oh yeah, McCarthy quashed it. And Wray walks away, laughing. No contempt, no impeachment, the DOJ weaponization continues.
