I DO use stevia, but not every place you go has it. everybody has Splenda. Besides, depending on who you ask, Stevia is bad for you too.
Guess what? Living causes death. Nobody gets out of here alive so folks need to quit worrying about stupid stuff.
So true-those frankenfoods are slow poison to humans-including the artificial sweeteners-a little local honey or some organically produced stevia is safer-and natural to sweeten with. Fresh stevia leaves are available at the health stores and some nurseries sell the plants-they are easy to grow...
Sodas-whether diet or regular-have ingredients other than sugar or artificial sweeteners that are chemicals-and not good for humans either-nutritionists ask people who are on a weight loss program to 86 the sodas right out of the gate....
I was raised to be a health nut-and I’ve been a total naturalist for most of my adult life-drug-free, all organic, paleo, no processed food, no GMO’s etc. No margarine, no veggie oil-only butter and olive oil, etc-living in a rural area, I know where my eggs, meat and produce comes from, too-so no fake meat, thanks-the way it is made even creeps me out and sounds nasty to me...
Fructose doesn’t spike blood sugar either.
It does have a a bit of a different taste than regular white sugar, and I don’t know how many sources there are besides corn. But that is also an option.
“So why use them – especially if safety concerns exist”
As though table sugar and HFCS have no safety concerns.
And aspartame (have used for decades with no ill effects) definitely doesn’t rot my teeth.
From Yahoo Life:
“ Erythritol is touted as a zero-calorie sweetener. It is a sugar alcohol that occurs naturally in fruits such as watermelon, grapes, and pears, as well as in fermented foods such as soy sauce and cheese.”
…
“ The link to cardiovascular events came to light in a study published in 2023. Study findings show that those with levels of erythritol in the top 25% range had twice the risk of cardiovascular issues as those in the lowest 25% range. Researchers think erythritol may increase the chances of blood clot formation.”
Erythritol is often found in stevia sweeteners.
AMEN!
Amen back! 🙏
