Trump claims Zelensky was very kind and agreeable to him during the fateful call that Pelosi and the deep-state used for the ridiculous “impeachment” charges.

Since SO MUCH US deep state corruption centered around Ukraine and Ukrainian actors (from Hillary’s Crowdstrike server, to the Vindmans, to Hunter Biden), one wonders if Zelensky was aware of, and part of, the plan all along.

50/50 chance. But I think it's more likely that Putin won't invade. On the other hand, he may have thought that Trump would have been unlikely to intervene to help the Ukrainians.

He would not have had the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan to indicate incompetence at the highest levels of command to inspire him.

As for money, while this administration has waved about huge numbers, I seriously doubt more than a small fraction of that is getting to Ukraine in cash. There is a big difference between pledging $XX in arms and actually delivering anything.

Before the war, Ukraine made a mistake relying on old Soviet S-300 launchers for air defense. Ukraine can't find any countries or manufacturers to replenish the S-300 surface-to-air missiles, hance, Zelensky is begging for patriot systems.

Good point. Most people don't connect the dots between Afghanistan and Ukraine. Russia should have gone back into Ukraine in 2018 when Ukraine resumed their war against Donbass. Why did Russia wait four years?
