“It’s so refreshing to hear the Massachusetts “insider” view of the comings and goings of West Virginia politics.....and considering Mooney, Maryland’s also.”
I don’t trust Justice. McConnell would prefer him.
But he’s a Republican......who became a RAT to get elected Gov........and then went back to being a Republican.
What’s not to trust?
And then there’s Mooney. State Senator lost re-election in 2010 due to redistricting. One month later becomes chair of MD GOP. Using staff to build campaign chest for another run at State Senate, brought up on ethics violations by MD Republican party, steps across the WV/MD border and runs for the House.
What a nice little nest of vipers.
Mooney was State Senator in MD, not WV.
If I lived in WV I’d vote for Mooney, since he took out a RINO last year (McConnell hates that).
But I think either will take out phony Manchin.
McConnell certainly would prefer Justice putting ideology aside for the moment. Justice elected to the Senate would mean a senator with a huge pot of personal money. So he wouldn’t need $$ support to be elected to the senate & he’s got money to throw around to whoever McConnell recommends. He’s one of the two billionaires in WV. (That’s the primary reason he got elected! WV’ians are too impressed by people with money!)
How’d ya like his vote on the Harris (yeah, her) amendment to the Anti-Lynching bill. The one that made it a Federal Crime to just speak ill of muzzies.
SOB wouldn’t answer my questions on that whether e-mail, snail mail or telephone.
Useless pos!
This can’t be true. Why, Comey just came out and said today that the idea that the DOJ is targeting Republicans is crazy.
I plan on voting for Mooney in the primary. My problem with Mooney is that he’s clearly an ambitious professional politician. He’s shown that in how he ended up in WV and how quickly he jumped into the senatorial race. Of the two the carpetbagger card could be played very effectively against him by Manchin. You would think the “crook card” could be played against Justice. It hasn’t mattered in his last two state-wide elections so why would it matter now? Also he has been an effective governor.
I never thought I would see the day this stuff would happen. It’s so blatant.
