Trump gained about 12 millions votes in 2020. If those weren't independents(edited) then who were they?

He expanded his core, but did not do well with Independents, even center right Indies.

What does his "core" mean.

Trump grabbed 12 million more votes. Most were people who traditionally don't vote. Some were hispanics.

These people were not Republicans. Some were Democrats. So why do you not characterize all the rest of them as being independents?

It’s no mistake. It’s a calculated decision....a “just in case” decision.... based on the fact that the left is working feverishly to disqualify Trump from running for president. Should they succeed in that goal before a primary election vote can occur, we’ll need a “not Trump” viable candidate to run against the Democrats.

If they succeed then they have the power to control all elections and all candidates into the future.

No candidate whether it be DeSantis or anybody else would dare to cross the Deep State again.

This isn’t a threat but it is fact. DeSantis is unlikely to win the nomination against Trump and would be damaged going into 2028. If Trump is the nominee, Biden wins re-election. DeSantis is taking a gamble. I am not really a fan of his or his GOPe supporters but we do agree we cannot win with Trump as the nominee. It would be nice if Trump was running only to distract the media and crazies. In the meantime we need to keep looking and keep the nomination competitive.

“Agree but DeSantis isn’t smart...”

Yep, he seems over his head. For example, all he has to do is talk to my neighbor (a 100% Texan) as to what he thinks of WW3 over Ukraine, and DeSantis would be all set. But instead, he seems to rely on Karl Rove instead.

As intended. They are, after all, totalitarian in nature (communists).

Question is....will America continue to allow them to take us over? Will American freedom as founded die with a sigh and a whimper? Only time will tell.

I’m guessing they have to twist the pretzel to say those millions of votes were thrown in on Trump’s ledger to make basement Brandon’s historic vote totals look reasonable to the sheep..

‘They weren’t real voters, Rs, D’s, or Independents..
They were ballot stuffed too’ /s

Someone should have told Don Jr. those same exact words.

Nah. The cheating, election-stealing left doesn’t “do” non-Democrat fake ballots. They would probably melt on the spot like the wicked witch of the East if they ever did. It’s just not in their DNA.

DeSantis is a governor who looks good on paper, like that guy from Wisconsin was, but he seems a bit flat out of the gate. My worries about him begin with the people who endorse him.

The reason Trump won in 2016 is that voters found Hilary Clinton even more undesirable than Trump. For two years, Trump had all 3 branches of government, and as the incumbent, had the bully pulpit for 4 years. Yet, he squandered all of the capital, and lost to the comatose Biden in 2020.

This time around, Trump would be a lame duck prez, and if the Trumpanzees think the deck was stacked against Trump previously, imagine how the next 4 years would play out.

Trump was sabotaged by the RINOs.

Those same RINOs now promote DeSantis over Trump.

What the Trump team likley knows is who is bankrolling DeSantis and how the plan to attack him. There is a lot of money behind RDS from very powerful people, particularly those who find Trump an impediment to their Global vision.

She didn't threaten just stating what will probably happen. I've said similar things myself. Bottom line DeSantis made a huge mistake running against Trump. Realy hurting his chances for 2028 and beyond.

Trump was a babe in the woods. He thought he could reason and deal with politicians in his own party. He had no idea that there was a higher authority.

Now he knows.

“crude gestures and references to her ex-husband Gavin Newsom during a speech to an audience of queers.”

... ah, yes. Kim’s infamous “Is he hot? Is he hung” speech. Not the classiest gal in town.

Ironically, though, I know people who knew her in high school and consider her a friend, and they say that behind her public shtick, she’s actually a very nice, kind person. So who knows...

“So then if Trump is the Republican nominee, you are an example of a DeSantis supporter who won’t vote for the nominee? Or are you just talking about the primary?”

Be sure to ask the same question of onlt Trump supporters

Here, I’ll make it easy for you. Just copy and paste this

“So then if DeSantis is the Republican nominee, you are an example of a Trump supporter who won’t vote for the nominee? Or are you just talking about the primary?”

Sauce for the goose.
Sauce for the gander.
