I don’t know what the international rules are regarding flying the 8 miles over the non Russian oriented land separating Russified territory from Kalingrad. However, physically it should not be that hard to load some spent uranium shells into a plane and transport them to Kalingrad. Is air smuggling a thing

Yeltsen was a sad ending for Russian hopes. I have old newspaper sections covering the shelling of parliament. Must take a quick read one of these days.

Two interesting sets of opinion/information.

I am currently ready The Outlaws by W.E.B. Griffin (2010). An interesting quote (condensed) about Putin from this book says: When only 2 assassinations...were successful, Sirinov had to report this failure to Putin. So far as Putin is concerned, there is no such thing as a partial success. And Sirinov knew that the only thing worse than reporting a failure to Putin was not having a credible plan to make things right.

I have several questions about this. How likely is Griffin to have an accurate read on Putin’s viewpoint? If Griffin was right, how will Putin deal with Prigozhin’s “partial success?” Might Prigozhin have a credible plan to make things right? What is this rumor about him taking Wagner to Sudan? Any interesting thoughts/agreements/disagreements out there?

“What is this rumor about him (Prigozhin) taking Wagner to Sudan?”

His “credible plan” alternative for Putin, might be to use Wagner as it was intended - as a somewhat covert instrument for Russian Military Intelligence (GRU), the FSB, and Putin’s mafia cronies to increase their power and wealth outside Russia’s borders. Diamond or gold mining, murder for hire, oil or weapons smuggling - whatever makes them a buck, or expands their territory.

Wagner false flag “little green men” have been reported provoking violence at demonstrations in Moldova and Kosovo quite recently. The Central African Republic (or some corrupt officials in its Government) might be rolling out a red carpet for them to come pillage the neighborhood (for a cut).

“Important development: CAR Ambassador to Russia, Dodonu-Punagaza, in his interview to Izvestia stated the country’s need for a Russian military base hosting 5,000-10,000 soldiers. It would serve CAR’s interests and facilitate troop deployment in neighboring nations as well.”

“Ultimately, he (Yeltsin) brought us Putin.”

Putin was Yeltsin’s chief of staff. He was Yeltsin’s point of contact for the St Petersburg mafia, for money skimming and influence pedaling/intimidating rivals.

Putin did what Stalin did in the first years after the Revolution, he took the Party Secretary job, a job nobody wanted, but it gave him access to all the information to what all the other Bolsheviks were doing, and he leveraged it to ultimately gain absolute power.

If Prigozhin takes an African assignment, I will presume he has decided to wait for Putin to become incapacitated before he makes and active move on the crown.

Prigozhin himself is unlikely to move to Africa. I am just saying that he might propose pulling Wagner troops out of the Ukraine, so they can put them back to work in many other countries, making them money.

I heard he was on his way back to Syria. But, Africa would make sense, as well.
