President Trump just called Ron DeSantis a globalist. He’s 100% right. Here’s a long thread with everything i know so far to validate his point.

Re: 44 - Who cares if it would have mattered? It’s about intent.

Like it or not, DeSantis volunteered to serve. Unbelievable the way some are playing down his service because he was a JAG officer. He served with honor, as did millions of others.

And like it or not, President Trump did not serve. And please don’t mention bone spurs. It someone wants to serve, they can serve. It’s one of the reasons military medical waiver review boards exist - to consider waivers so that a person can serve.

“So if someone walks up behind you and knows the cr@p out if you, you should attack the guy in front of you? Got it.”

No idea what you are trying to say?

My brother volunteerd and served with honor in the U.S. Army, and in Vietnam in 1966-1967. He didn’t get a Bronze star for simply being on the ground, fighting the enemy, protecting our freedoms, while avoiding being shot by his own people during a war.

Do you know why DeSantis got a Bronze Star?

I know several people that should have got awards that did not. That doesn’t mean that DeSantis was not deserving of his.

"Do you know why DeSantis got a Bronze Star?"

Yes I do. I posted it here:

President Trump just called Ron DeSantis a globalist. He’s 100% right. Here’s a long thread with everything i know so far to validate his point.

Beau Biden was a Judge Advocate General while in Iraq. He got a Bronze Star too. What meritorious service did either of them perform? Both were doing the job they were sent there to do. How did they perform that duty any better than Joe Blow who was facing bullets on the battlefield, but didn't get it? Meritorious is defined as deserving reward or praise. The Bronze Star is awarded for heroism or meritorious service. If giving the Bronze Star to lawyers who conduct hearings and court martials in a war zone is considered meritorious, than why isn't every person who serves meritoriously, ie., doing their job, while in uniform in a war zone, awarded the same meritorious medal? I say it's horseshit. People have died for this country serving meritoriously. Most of them didn't get the Bronze Star. They were lucky if they got the Purple Heart, and it didn't matter to them anyway, because they were dead. It sounds to me that in that particular war, Bronze Medals were handed out like candy, and not always to the people who deserved it. I guess it depended on who wrote your recommendation for it.

“Trump was put in a vise by McConnell and others in the swamp”

I totally agree with you, so the question becomes how would a second term of Trump be any different since that vice still exists.

“At a national level, a single policy priority determines all other national policy outlooks. That policy is the national economic policy.

“The national economic policy of a presidential candidate determines all other policies that flow from the presidential candidate. The national economic policy impacts the obvious policies like energy and trade and also determines the lesser obvious policies like regulation and even foreign policy.

“It is specifically because a candidate’s national economic outlook impacts all other issues, that most federal candidates and politicians never talk about it.

“It would be impossible to support Main Street USA, a popular talking point, and still support the Paris Climate Treaty, the Transpacific Trade Partnership (TPP), or the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).

“To avoid the contradictions, most sycophant politicians of the U.S. Chamber of Crypto-Fascist, Crony Commerce avoid discussing their national economic policy. It is an unspoken rule within the billionaire club and donor game – an economic code of omertà among most political candidates.

“President Trump broke the rule and even went so far as to campaign on an America First economic policy agenda. That core outlook forms the Make America Great Again foundation. MAGA is based on a national economic policy outlook that determines every other national policy as carried by President Trump.

“While most Americans may not be able to articulate how the national economic policy impacts them, almost every American feels the consequences through gasoline prices, energy prices, employment, wage rates, and the expenses within their everyday lives. To try and hide this reality, often media and economic analysts will say the U.S. President has no control over gasoline prices; however, this is unequivocally false.

“President Trump was the first presidential candidate who campaigned on a domestic national economic policy. He even went one step further and stated the T-word, tariffs. Yes, the commerce department holds tools to support a national economic policy.” Sundance

I’d want to see the Award citation that came with the Bronze Star.

Regardless, DeSantis served honorably - he didn’t have to serve at all, but he made the choice.

“Trump's associations have been fine-tooth-combed for years and commented upon ad nausium. Is it surprising that DeSantis will get the same attention?”

Trump was attacked by liberals and RINOs using guilt-by-association, smears, fabrications, half-truths, and allegations that were the opposite of the truth.

It is not surprising that liberals and RINOs will do the same to DeSantis.

What has surprised me a little is that some supporters of Trump are dabbling in these tactics to damage DeSantis - as if that will move the conservative agenda forward. It won't.

Trump supporters have compared DeSantis unfavorably to Newsom, Cuomo, and even Charlie Crist; and Florida unfavorably to California. Stuff like that will not help America.

Many a land station admiral made a once a month flight over the Gulf of Tonkin to achieve tax free salary for the month as well as other u defined benefits. Most High Ranking military have a chest full of ribbons they didn't earn in real combat.

Would depend a lot on whether Trump has coattails I would imagine, not to mention he could encourage a few of those fence sitting Rino's to get off the pot, depends on how corrupt they really are I guess.

“DeSantis served, Trump dodged. There’s that.””

Trump attended a military academy for all 4 years of high school, set up just like being in the military. Trump served his 4 years of Presidency as the Commander in Chief and the troops loved him as he is very pro military and a true patriot. Lots of people don’t serve in the military including most Freepers; that doesn’t mean they aren’t totally pro Military and are some of the most patriotic people to be had.

Save your DeSanctimonious smears for someone else. Trump has been attacked for years now for his patriotism and concern for our Country, and doesn’t need the likes of you to trash him. Your screen name should be Small-1776, as that is what you are, small and mean towards one of the best Presidents we have ever had.

Oh, just stop. President Trump didn’t dodge.

He didn’t volunteer while later in life criticizing those who did, and that was just a cowardly thing to do. He can do better.

"Regardless, DeSantis served honorably..."

My brother served with meritorious honor too, in Vietnam, in '66-67'. He volunteered too, and didn't have to. He dodged bullets from the enemy, but didn't get a Bronze Star. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal "for meritorious service in connection with military operations against a hostile force," and the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star.

Duties of the Judge Advocate General: "Judge advocates are responsible for administrative law, government contracting, civilian and military personnel law, the law of war and international relations, environmental law, etc. They also serve as prosecutors for the military when conducting court-martials."

Why DeSantis and Beau Biden received Bronze Stars for simply being lawyers in a war zone, without actually participating in military operations against a hostile force is beyond me. Lawyers = Bullshit artists.

Thank you for your clear, and incisive explanation. It’s clear that Trump violated the unwritten laws of the U.S. Chamber of Crypto-Fascist, Crony Commerce. He not only talked about it during his campaign, but he enacted most of what he’d talked about, and promised. They hate him because he can’t be bought, and won’t conform. Trump is unique, and I don’t think there will ever be another like him in my lifetime. I’m 75, so the chances of that happening are slim to none.
