He'd hardly be the first politician to say one thing and do another. I like what he's done in Florida but could he do it in D.C.? I'm not convinced he has the political skills to accomplish it or the real desire to. He'll need to convince me.
I think several of the Team DeSantis backers are only there because they see him as the best way to derail Trump. Blocking Trump is the primary goal for many and their backing for DeSantis is likely to go soft if support isn't there or he obtains the nomination and Trump is safely out of the picture. .
