Trump will need the DeSantis people and DeSantis would need the Trump people, so hopefully it gets figured out after the primary.

Why is he brining this up? The USSC ruling “denationalized” it and put it back in the states where it belongs! This is no smarter than when Graham brought it up just before the 2022 midterms. Everyone railed at Graham for doing this! Way to energize the “Rat “ base DJT! It is a state' rights issue now and Trump should STFU.
If Trump is willing to negotiate our rights away, he is not fit to be our nominee.

Not the right time. I live in Florida and believe DeSantis is a good Governor but he needs to wait. He will still be seen as a good Governor if he completes his term and then runs in 2028. He will be able to talk about his governorship and his accomplishments during his campaign without the Dems or his opponents bringing up his “leaving his post” before his term is up. And they will because they already are using this.
