But Ukraine paid a heavy price in blood in trying to hold onto that supposedly “worthless” city. Simplicius provides the details of the Ukrainian military obituary:

WASP Legions:

Most of these battalions have suffered more than 70% casualties just against PMC Wagner.
The twenty five brigades listed above represents a force of atleast 50,000 men (assuming only 2000 men in a reduced brigade) and as many as 125,000. Simplicius also lists at least 9 battalions and 5 regiments — that is 4500 and 5000 additional troops respectively. Do the math. If Ukraine deployed 134,500 troops to the battle for Bakhmut, 70% casualties means that Ukraine suffered as many as 94,150 killed and wounded.
Part of me wishes the Russians were so restrained would takeover you sorry country, which has become nothing but a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah.
And the problem for Ukraine is that they're running out of Ukrainians. The West can give Ukraine everything they ask for with the exception of more Ukrainians.
They have 44 million people... So if your holding your breath waiting for them to all die... Don’t bother.
Heh. Loser.
America is the country that had covert patrols going through jungles WITH BOOM BOXES so that their grunts were easy pickings.
Russia is the country that sends its mobiks into battle with more guns pointed at them to stop them retreating, than they’ve got to attack the enemy.
Ukraine’s holding its own, against the Potemkin Putintards.
Part of me wishes the Russians did win, where you are, so that you could fully experience evolution in reverse.

What kind of covert patrols, LRRPs?
“… America is the country that had covert patrols going through jungles WITH BOOM BOXES so that their grunts were easy pickings.…”

It’s pretty annoying that you UNGRATEFUL ZEEPERS verbally snipe (with lies) at the country giving the major support to the Zelensky regime.
“ What don’t you British a-holes get your military over to Ukraine and fight the Russians yourselves?…”
**************************************************************************
Sadly, the British have so degenerated their military that they’d now be hard pressed to have a single regiment or brigade in a “deployable” state of readiness.
The “what does covert mean?” kind.
You tell me, you have American soldiers or Marines, or SEALs or LRRPs Special Forces, or someone American, sneaking into hostile territory while playing boom boxes on their shoulders.
Make your minds up. I thought you wanted to avoid getting fewer of your troops embroiled in foreign adventures too.
Us Brits got the memo. Our capability is much smaller than it used to be, but it’s also a lot smarter and more flexible.
Our telecommunications engineers in our armed forces can look after pretty much any bit of kit in a comms cabinet, and don’t need basic instructions for dummies to do it.
We’re training the Ukes to think like that. And that’s why the Ukes don’t need hand holding. It’s why they’re able to macguyver solutions in the field while the mobiks they’re fighting can’t.
In American forces, for a very long time, your guys had to work to rote processes that would tell ‘em which way to turn the screwdriver. One bit of unfamiliar kit without a manual to RTFM from, and they had to find help. But at least you now have some leeway to think for yourselves at unit level.
Russia hasn’t even gotten that far yet.
“… Us Brits got the memo. Our capability is much smaller than it used to be, but it’s also a lot smarter and more flexible….”

Yes, so smart and so flexible that they’ve become non-deployable.
