Eh! I feel that if I am going to eat something, I want it to taste good! And that means butter...:) When I have slipped that mortal coil, it won’t matter!

Heh, it is funny. I have a friend who I invited to go with me using my wife’s bike, and he, being a motorcycle rider, kind of tried to say no without sneering. He said he likes driving his motorcycle on the road.

Inwardly, I suspect he might view the eBike as being wussified as he is one of those guys who refuses to wear a bike helmet when he rides, but for me...driving on a public road for any length of time nowadays makes me as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

There are too many inattentive drivers on the road today for my liking. For him, I have no doubt the risk is worth it for him.

I just assumed they had Kevlar belts like they do for some motorcycle brands.

I do not own an EBike and currently have no reason to buy one. I just think they will replace motor scooters/mopeds in a lot of places in the USA.

I rented a pair when I went to Acadia National Park in bar Harbor, ME. The park does not allow gasoline motor vehicles to drive on the carriage roads around the park. They do allow bicycles and E bikes because they do not make noise. They were perfect for that situation.

I asked the guy who rented them what maintenance they required. He said virtually nothing.

Did you go north of Hampton? That is the section of the NH coast that is the nicest. Hampton is a honky tonk. From North Hampton up to Portsmouth is really pretty. My favorite beach along that stretch is Jenness in Rye.

I did indeed go North, it was quite pleasant...not much traffic, not a lot of people.

On nice days, my wife and I occasionally go up to the Halibut Point park and sit out on the rocks, just watching the world go by!
