Why aren’t the Republicans JUMPING ALL OVER THIS?! The ELECTED Dems talk little about except in long-term platitudes, and the Republicans don’t talk about it at all.
“Trucking industry faces showdown with Democrats over push to eliminate diesel rigs, go electric”
ya’ll just keep voting Democrat, ya hear ....
Democrats destroy everything.
It gives democrats kicks to ban something
I already boycott California- the world falls off at the southern Oregon border for my equipment, as it is too old (and heavy) to enter that state.
Absolutely. Shut Ca off. We are all going to get hungry for awhile but it would indeed teach them a lesson.
As an ex-Californian and knowing some still-deluded Californians, I wish the consequences would arrive sooner, rather than later. A lesson is learned when the "test" fails. Californians, most especially a Democrat elite, have managed thus far to pretend "Emmanuel Goldstein" is what is causing their Democrat-dripping catastrophes.
Doesn’t this FORCING everyone to use electric vehicles seem like another scam to benefit China, and probably line the Rats pockets with kickback money?
Because most of the GOPe believes the climate BS. They also figure they can get a piece of the climate money train.
It satisfies their basic desire to shove people around. Shitlibs are at heart bullies.
The communist democrats and the WEF plan is obvious; no reliable trucking = no reliable food and fuel supply = mass starvation to depopulate this world = more for those who are behind it all.
Truckers could bring this country to its knees with very little effort. Just park the rigs.
“to show the damage that will be done”
We need data to reach a conclusion on this issue. How much would electrification of trucks cost per ton mile compared with current cost.
How much of the cost of goods we buy is to pay for truck transportation?
At what rate could the electrification occur since charging electricity must be available along the way.
To me the obvious next step would be to put a few electric trucks into service and see how that goes.
And there’s the matter of whether the collective thinking in California has gone crazy. Paying blacks because they had ancestors that were slaves? Building a railroad through central California that can’t possibly recoup its construction cost? Filling their sidewalks, roadsides and hotels with the “unhoused”?
“LZ”, a trucker friend of mine had to quit cali some ten years ago with the even then restrictive regulations.
The union label, Baby!

I have been saying if Mexico is smart they would upgrade their ports and highways and attract shipping companies to completely bypass California. Of course dealing with Mexico, being a narco terrorist state, is not a good idea.
The Longshoreman and Teamsters will make sure their workers stay in line.
“...union workers”
Yeah, Keep funding your union - which uses your hard-earned money to support Democrat candidates that are working hard to put you out of a job.
