Could be. This is the same location where the Ukie's were expending 4 million dollar missiles as if they didn't have to pay for them. Looks like they panicked and just started pushing buttons.

I do, certainly because they had a shared heritage whether the Ukrainians like it or not, they were part of the Soviet Union (and even had powerful and influential leaders who were of Ukrainian extraction) and are steeped in many of the same negative things, corruption being just one.

No doubt Ukrainians don’t want to admit that, and would rather embrace the “anti-Soviet” history. After the treatment of Ukraine by Stalin, who can blame them, but...it wouldn’t be the whole story.

If I say they are “Soviet” it doesn’t mean I say they are communists (they are an oligarchy) it means they have many of the inbred faults of the Soviet Union...utilization of over-the-top propaganda is just one of them.

In my eyes, both Ukraine and Russia engage in the equivalent of “running-dog-capitalism” we saw (and still see in Communist China) used.

To our Western ear, it gives them away, IMO.

Has the Patriot missile system been certified to intercept hypersonic vehicles? Are there any missile tests showing that capability?
All ballistic missiles fly at hypersonic speed. The Patriot absolutely is designed to take out Short Range Ballistic Missiles. The term "hypersonic missile" is supposed to be used for missiles that maneuver, while traveling at hypersonic speeds and by that definition, the Khinzal is not a hypersonic weapon. But eve if it maneuvers, the Patriot may take one out.
