Is it as easy to steal a McLaren as it is a Kia?
We have a whole 'nother class of car thief here on the San Francisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley.

I note the description of the thief as “a man” meaning a black man since if the thief were white it would surely be mentioned.

Well, then - the cities of Los Altos and Palo Alto need to sue the McClaren company for making its cars too easy to steal.

He should have gone for the P1 :) Seriously though, I don’t think McLaren lets you drive off the lot without driving lessons first. Those cars are in a class all their own and require some training to keep it under control if you are not an experienced race car driver.

I know! Did the dealer leave the keys under the floor mat or on top of a tire?
It sounds like he broke into the building, so I’m guessing he found the key board with all the keys hanging on it. You’d think a dealership with million dollar cars on the floor could afford a top-notch security system.

A man who witnessed the collision got out of his 2009 Lexus GX470 and walked 30 yards to the SUV that was hit; in the meantime, the McClaren thief exited the totaled GT and stole the man’s Lexus, heading eastbound. "Well, Yer Honor, the guy said he wanted to render assistance..."
