A Citizens initiative to Amend the State constitution Banning the use of Taxpayer Funds to purchase any “fossil fuel” for the purpose of Cooking, Heating,Transportation, or Electricity generation, would go along way to help out.

It seems as if blue states like New York and California are bound and determined to completely ruin themselves. The rest of us need to be just as bound and determined that they will not take the rest of us with them.

With tens of thousand of people that will likely leave NY suggests there won’t be much building going on. No doubt these losers will make a few places blue that are now red.

Of course not. The state is always right no matter how stupid the action.

The electric grid doesn’t have much spare capacity nor is there enough generation capacity for this leftist fantasy to work, but no need to worry - rainbows, unicorn farts, and the electricity fairy will provide

New Yorkers deserve every sh!tty thing their government does to them, because not only do they vote for the people who promulgate this insanity, but they don’t learn from their mistakes but rather double down on their stupidity.

Go ahead and ban it in existing buildings as well. If it is that dangerous to use for new buildings it makes no sense to keep it in the old buildings - order it fully phased out within 5 years. If it is a good idea, it is a good idea, right?

Remember this:

Buffalo, NY Christmas Blizzard 2022:
3 to 4 feet on snow, wind gusts up to 79 mph; sub-zero wind chills.

At it’s peak, over 58,000 people without power in the Buffalo area alone.

Pop Quiz: How did these people not freeze to death during this period?

ANS: It’s being banned in New York State.

If this didn’t start an insurrection then nothing will.

Years ago for a little while I lived in upstate New York, a little south of Cooperstown.

This was in the late 80’s and most people as I remember heated with not only wood but propane.

Houses had a connection for installing large propane tanks on the outside of their homes.

I’m talking propane tanks that were about five foot tall.

I’m sure the folks up there are going to love this.

But hey, most of them voted for this.

The end of “fossil” fuels is the end of civilization.

Hasn’t that been the plan all along?

New York... It’s almost like they were told to go screw themselves... and they said “OK!”

This looks like NY and California are the twin leading suicide states as far as hating/banning natural gas for cooking and heating go. Curiously enough, both states are losing population. Especially of smart white people. California is still the promised land for Chinese influx and influx of all other foreigners.

Both states have huge homelessness problems. Though in NY this is mostly in New York City. While in California, this is all over, due to the moderate year around weather. California specializes in homeless “camping out” in RVs and tents.

Portland, Oregon is the nation’s winner as far as homless living in tents. They just passed laws protecting their right to camp out anywhere. Such as your front and back lawns.

People who don't push back hard enough to stop the scumbags pushing this craziness deserve to "get it," good and hard. In a sane world, the whack jobs, perverts and thieves pushing the "climate catastrophe," and all the other sick nonsense flooding the West, would be penned up in some pseudo=academic backwater, disallowed from participating in civilized society and collecting a minimal stipend until they quietly croaked.

They are a vile, nihilistic lot and a massive threat to civilization. They should be treated as such. In a world where good men still stood up to tyranny and degeneracy, they would be.

The proposal also has exceptions.

For restaurants, hospitals, and critical infrastructure.

SNORT.

Lack of heat? My entire house runs of electricity. I’m pretty comfortable in winter and summer. And granny will be fine with gas unless you build her a new home.
