Yup. I tip 10% on the credit card so it’s covered, then I leave the balance in cash. Just helping those folks avoid my greedy uncle.

I never do it.
I don’t tip for counter service. I might if I did something large and unusual, like, order 50 sandwiches for a catered event or something.
Counter service is counter service.

Me neither. A friend from church and were discussing this Sunday. We both travel expensively for our jobs.
We agreed that there is no reason to tip a fast food clerk.
I also believe that tip percentages need to decrease. Food costs have increased way beyond other costs.
I’ve gone down to about 15% at real restaurants.

Let me help with this. Tipping is intended to reward services rendered by one individual to another. Automated self-service is not accomplished “one individual to another”, so it does not include such services rendered. Tipping a machine is clearly unwarranted.
