I was looking to make sure Lupron was a puberty blocker, and this article showed up in search. I'm not sure why, but apparently, parents were giving kids puberty blockers to make them taller. Article lists many, many problems resulting from off label use of puberty blockers.

“Drug used to halt puberty in children may cause lasting health problems”

I find that hard to believe.

And especially with all of the medical experts using it now. I’m sure it all has undergone years of testing and trials just like the Covid vaccines.

The lawyers are lining up, easier to do this than chase ambulances.

I doubt it - all of these people signed up for it and signed a piece of paper. I saw one gal that took testosterone and then after xx years detransitioned (full of regrets).

She is worried about the long-term effects on her body. “On “T” I experienced menopause when I was 19 years old! What did that do to me?”

Josef Mengele also experimented in sterilization.
He was called “The Angel of Death”

No problem. Just take the vaccine. Many older women who did are not getting their periods back. The vax might help.

An md in an interview last year said no matter what sex change drugs or surgery is done, the human body cannot be fooled..

It knows in its dna what all the cells and organs are supposed to be doing. He said there is a much bigger cancer statistic for gender change types and that is being ignored by the media.

It seems odd that the same drug often used to stop puberty has been used in other patients to start becoming taller.
I thought getting taller was itself the result of puberty, or a release of hormones most often expected at ages of puberty.

When I was 13 or so, I eagerly awaited my ‘growth spurt’ I had been told in Sex Education that I should expect.
Spolier Alert: I only barely had one.

“Many older women who did are not getting their periods back.”

I’m guessing you meant they are NOW getting periods again? Wow - that is crazy. I guess it is better than getting sudden death syndrome.

I’ve never heard that Lupron has a side effect of making kids taller before, so maybe it was a short term belief. I know Jazz Jennings is much shorter than her brothers, so whatever puberty blockers he took stopped his pubertal growth.

Anything that delays puberty results in taller children. Puberty is a strong factor in bone growth regulation.

Girls enter puberty a bit sooner than boys, this is why boys are generally taller than girls... for the boys it is natural for puberty to be delayed.

Jewish tradition recognizes this...
Bat mitzvah at age 12
Bar mitzvah at age 13

It is inconceivable to me that some idiot would prescribe a drug to delay puberty and cause a girl to grow taller.

Lets just fiddle with nature and hope for the best...

I wonder how many girls get put on puberty blockers. I’d assume boys go on to stop voice lowering and beard growth.

“SCIENCE-BASED DOCTOR ALERT”

“ Prosecutors said the Lupron sales team rewarded doctors prescribing the drug for prostate cancer with ski trips, golf outings, and bribes. In a court document, one gynecologist said a salesperson told him he “could earn $100,000 annually” by treating the women in his practice with Lupron.”
