China engineered...
China produced...
NOPE!

When they can’t even steal western EV technology for cars and and get it right, no way can they steal technology for mag-lev trains and get it right.
Chinese made ev’s “burning down the house.”

SNCF (the French train company) was trying to work with California on high speed rail. They gave up due to corruption in California.

So they built railroads in North Africa. Yes that’s right. In Africa.

And many want Gavin Newsom for president.

The hyperloop was always an unworkable idea, and it still is. The concept has been around for over 100 years.

It’s no faster than an airplane. The forces on the human body would not be any greater than flying.

The carriages may do well in a vacuum. The passengers, not so much. If the coveyance in which the passengers are transported are airtight, and filled with life-sustaining air, the contraption could work....much like the capsules that transport cash and papers from the drive-thru lanes at the bank back and forth to the tellers in the bank. I think I’ll pass. My schedule’s not that tight.

I don’t understand this at all. Where is China getting the money and the technical know-how for such a project?

Every time an American places an order with Ali Express, Shein, Walmart or Amazon, they are funding this.

That’s written like someone in the late 1800’s would write.

So wasn’t this Elon’s idea to start with? I wonder if Biden gave them money to help build this?

Imagine a crash in the tunnel at 621mph!
The tunnel will be blown out and there would be no survivors or remains.

Vacuum tunnels require pressurized trains. = more complexity
150km @ 1000 km/hr is 9 min at speed granted they have to accelerate and decelerate.

I can’t imagine that the construction companies won’t screw something up. I think I will take the walking path.

“we in the USA can also build it.”

US cities are trash and any stations will be crime-filled.

That problem needs to be fixed first.

That all well and good, but how inclusive is the engineering process?

Were there enough LGBTQRSTR+ people involved?

Will there be places for homeless chinese to sleep on the trains?
