Here’s the daily fix that the war will be over ANY DAY NOW. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s fix, and the next day’s, etc...

“ Eisenhower was a desk jockey that kept
a complex war machine together.”

Riiiiggghhhhttt.

And Michelangelo was just a guy who threw some paint around.
I herd that done guy named Beethoven just banged out a couple of notes on a piano .

The story in Russian is at Тихоокеанский флот получит нового командующего and Командующий ТОФ ушёл в отставку после внезапной проверки боеготовности.

Officially, he resigned after the inspection of the pacific fleet prior to the exercises. He was not fired because the exercises failed to impress or intimidate the US and allies, the exercises started on the 14th and only the first stage is completed. In comparison to previous Admirals of the Pacific Fleet. He had the longest stay in the position of 13 years acting then commanding, about twice as long as any previous commander. Staying in the post for so long is more unusual than his removal from it.

What is unusual, is that this happened after a inspection and after 167 ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet started their readiness exercises. That is not a good message to send to fleet personnel or the US and allies.

Eisenhower was a desk jockey….

Yes, Eisenhower was a master of logistics, and also of risk management.

In addition Eisenhower got Montgomery and Patton to work together and kept de Gaulle in line.

There may be other feats of leadership that are its equal, but few, if any, that are greater.

I was thinking of exactly that.

General Marshall back at the Pentagon was also crucial in overseeing worldwide logistics and making sure Eisenhower was successful in Europe.

The Russian Navy doesn’t enjoy a happy history in the Tsushima Strait.

Russian Forces Cut Khromove Road | Fully Capture Central Bakhmut

Recap Map

UA gets smashed with every attempt to get into Bakhmut. 3 columns were reduced to ashes today alone. The pressure on the road at Chromovo is increasing by the minute. Now, if UA doesn't do something successful about it, they've lost the road tonight.

Imagine getting to sit in on some of those meetings and watching Eisenhower handling those personalities.

Let’s keep this in perspective.

Michelangelo was probably one of the worlds best artists.
Eisenhower was probably one of the words best politicians.
I prefer Wagner over Beethoven.

“ Eisenhower was probably one of the words best politicians.”

And he was responsible for our success in WWII.
Saying he was just a desk jockey in WWII is silly .

It was a miracle they got there at all. No surprise they got there but stomped.

What do you think most modern generals are?
They aren’t Pattons shooing at airplanes or Russians getting blown up in the field.

In the rear with the gear.
Does the concept of delegation escape you?
NCO’s and junior officers make
the military “work” in America.
