Instead of spending $6T, we’re only spending $1.5T.

Looks like a 4.5 T cut to me anything to stop Biden’s squandering is a plus.

He has a spending your way out of debt logic par for the democrats.

I never trust these commitments to cut spending. Often all they are doing is cutting the RATE that a program will increase in the following year, and call that a cut in spending. So if a program is $10 and in 2024 will increase to 14, the GOP will reduce that increase say to $13. And pat themselves on the back.

Instead of increasing the debt, Republicans should pass a bill that would enact large cuts to unconstitutional spending. That includes the Depts. of Education, HHS, and HUD and gifts to foreign countries, state governments, and city governments. Since the federal government would need less money, the same bill would cut tax rates. I emailed my congressman Mike Gallagher (R-WI), and I asked him to vote against increasing the debt ceiling. I hope thousands of people will send similar emails to republican congressmen. No one, who votes to increase the debt, should be re-elected. Republicans, who vote for that, should lose their primaries.

Sadly at least this is my experience the public has silently thrown in the towel as far as the debt is concerned. This was the problem under Trump as well. Congress controlled by these idiots in the GOP couldn’t bring him a decent spending bill. I swear they do this work just to have access for the interns.
