Even though many admit it.

Road apples.

My son went to Cornell and he has gone over to the dark side now.

Yes. Woke in schools, colleges, military, industry, government, it is all a myth.

A “myth”.

So says “The Hill”.

Got it.

The Hill is a Leftist mouthpiece that I wouldn’t use to line my bird’s cage. That said, I cannot help wondering what could motivate anyone to refer to its articles on this forum!

I am so sorry to hear that. But it is predictable as the day is long, even with kids who have had a strong upbringing in critical thinking.

Young people are by nature impressionable. Just a fact. And the Left knows this, and viciously, knowingly, and deliberately leverages it.

With malice.

My son says it's in state colleges in Alabama, but just in the liberal arts "core" courses and not in the computer science and upper math courses. Of course, that's just the undergrad courses. That's the way it was back when I was in college too, only I'm sure with my son the liberal bull crap was a lot worse in his non CS courses.

I could tell even back when I was in college getting a BS in computer science that the grad level versions of the CS courses required essays and study grant applications specializing in liberalism. That's the #1 reason I don't have a masters or doctorate.

It may not be indoctrination for a single professor to express leftist opinions, but it certaily indoctrination when every professor and the entire university addministration expresses, and enforces, those leftist opinions.

None of my undergrad math or CS instructors ever brought up liberalism politics. Almost every course had at least one student speak it up in class to show off his liberalism bona-fides. Back then the best way to show you were a liberal was to show how atheist you were. And always the math/CS instructor poo-poo'd it away saying we didn't have time for that in class.

My favorite instructor handled it the best way. He never told whatever the student to be quiet. He always asked the student what the math basis for their belief is. There was never an answer. The instructor then would wave his hand around the room, point out that everybody in the room was computer science majors and that the only way any one of us should passionately support a position is if the math supported it. I've never forgotten that. One reason I still firmly believe in Christ is because believing probable chance created human beings requires more faith in luck than someone mortgaging his house to buy lottery tickets.

"...only becomes indoctrination when, ....“an instructor insists that students accept as truth propositions that are in fact professionally contestable,” and presents “such propositions dogmatically, without allowing students to challenge their validity or advance alternative understandings."

- When adaptation within a species is extrapolated as evidence of transition from one species to another, it is "in fact professionally contestable".

- When a building block of life such as CO2 is held up to be a pollutant, and a cause of man-made climate change, it is "in fact professionally contestable".

When the 1619 Project is presented as though it were documented history in America, it is "in fact professionally contestable".

When people pretend that their biological essence can change their XY DNA to an XX identity, it is "in fact professionally contestable".

A friend’s grandson was home schooled and raised in a conservative, religious home. Went to public high school and then to a liberal arts college. Friend said he’s now a woke mess.
