And Biden is in Ireland being completely useless as usual.
Yes. They’ve got to consider that although the chances are excellent from their POV, it is not certain that the Biden Junta will absolutely be able to also steal the 2024 election.
They must make a plan to take Taiwan during the remainder of Zhao’s one and only term, or not at all.
Bonus points for them, they undertake a Normandy-style invasion, Zhao just might sit there at his desk stupefied and not give any order to do anything about it. He is on their side, as we all know.
Thank you comrade.
China has been doing what they call salami slicing. They do a little thing that takes away something from Taiwan, or India, or whoever, but that thing is too small to start an actual war over. After a while, they have the whole salami. They announced they’d be stopping ships in Taiwan’s waters. Taiwan also has several island forts that are super close to China’s coast. The US specifically said they won’t defend those if they get taken. I’d guess the actual invasion will start there, or the Chinese will starve them out and force their surrender. As for the actual “trigger” it could have been any number of things that already have been done and it hasn’t triggered yet. I think China is forty percent of Taiwan’s exports. It’s a hard choice. If I was Taiwan, I’d have remotely controlled mines all along China’s coast.
“If the Taiwanese are so naive as to deny the likelihood that the ccp has so totally infiltrated the island over 30+ years”
What about the reverse?
That’s a highly probable synopsis of what’s to come.
Before the 2024 election.
Taiwan has had more than seventy years to prepare for an invasion. If they are not ready now, then never will be. Second, they have had seventy years to create their own atomic weaponry. If the mainland could do it, if Pakistan could do it, and if Israel could do it and never admit it, and if Iran will do it, what makes Beijing figure that Taiwan is helpless?
“After that China would face massive sanctions and boycotts.”
No, they wouldn’t. Maybe in the 1970s or 1980s, but not now.
The idea it’d be a cakewalk is bizarre.
It would open a huge can of worms also in China.
They didn't have any trouble taking the United States in 2020, so they will just use the same tactics.
Where would they have gotten the nucular (I like to spell it that way) fuel?
One has to wonder how good Chinese damage control is. Japanese was considerably worse than American in WW II, and we saved ships that should not have made it.
You post like ChatGPT.
According to his profile page he’s in Luxembourg, something might be lost in translation.
Thanks for the explanation!
Elections have consequences.
Apparently nobody in the White House has taken notice.
Surrender Taiwan, Can’t interrupt our supply of cheap Chinese products. /s
Maybe their nucular[sic] plants that they’ve had since the 70’s? The ROC doesn’t need to nuke Shanghai. It could drop a few bunker busters on the Three Gorges Dam.
