Unless Russia planned only to fight guerrillas in Dagestan.==
Russian tanks had met tow2 in Syria. And an encounter showed that the modern Russian armor of 1990s holds against it pretty well.
Tow2 makes some damage to t72B3 or t90 but easy fixable in a field repair depo. SO no need for Arena in Syria.
Today Ukraine shows the intensity much bigger than there. SO maybe they decided to employ Arena after all. We will see how it will work on a field.
It also means Russia has lost so many tanks, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, they need to bring T-54/55s out of storage. In addition to that, they have to buy 100 mm ammunition from Iran and North Korea.
If any country other than Russia fought like this, it would be seen they are losing. Russia is living off its past World War II and Cold War reputation that the current Russian army no longer deserves.
After being slaughtered so much on the battlefield you are out of tanks and your country had to haul these rusting hulks to the field.==
You had been reading too much of ukie propaganda but it is OK. It is your problem after all.
A desperate solution to a desperate army.==
This army will win eventually. Because Russia always has a tactical nukes to throw at enemy. Now she kinda restrict herself but you understand that if needed they WILL be used for victory.
So what?
Russia will take Bakhmut, eventually, maybe, we'll get back to you on that.
Beyond Bakhmut are miles of defense in depth.
They are going no where fast after taking it.
It also means Russia has lost so many tanks, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, they need to bring T-54/55s out of storage.==
They are stored for the war. If not spend them now then when? It will clear space for newer staff.
In addition to that, they have to buy 100 mm ammunition from Iran and North Korea.==
Lot of them also in a storage. Must be spent too.
If any country other than Russia fought like this, it would be seen they are losing.==
What about Afghanistan then? America SEEMED fought well but still ran out. Strange right if judge her with same criteria like Russia? SO maybe the clue is in just to be but not to appear?
The west is sending left overs from the Gulf and Iraq Wars, cleaning the Russia military's collectivist clocks and taking all their silverware.
LOL, I’m just watching the months go by and how your equipment keeps moving backward in time and the desperate search for old weapons to equip your new replacements, so that they will have something, anything, to go into the meat-grinder with.
What a long 14 months it has been for what remains of your military.
Arena-M armour is NOT very effective against Javelins. It may do better vs. some other light & medium anti-tank weapons, but I agree: It is useless against mines or artillery, esp. the Excalibur HTK.
“Big ships are fine targets.”
Like the Moskva? LOL!!!

May be you will be interested how the “remains of military” is dealing with “first class” ukies military?

Clearly saw 2023 video of a train loaded with unmistakable T-34 headed to Ukraine. That means they stripped the museum’s for them or they have in storage.
Video from last November showed T-55 (round top) headed there.
While quantity does have quality of its own, these tanks are vulnerable to first generation antitank missiles. Two men and a Jeep, or a Bradley with a TOW, 5000 meters plus out. There is a lot of TOW missiles sitting around, maybe more than T-55/54 tanks.
Fact Check-Video purporting to show Soviet-era tanks shipped from Russia to Ukraine dates to at least 2019.
Congratulations! You are a victim of ukies propaganda.

None sends t55s to a front as they are. First they are upgraded to t55M.
You are seeming sort of desperate, even calling the weak next-door army you thought you would run over in days, “first class”.
None sends t55s to a front as they are. First they are upgraded to t55M.
Just checked ORYX. No listing of destroyed T-34 or T-55. However, their are registered losses of Russian un-upgraded T-62’s. The ‘M’ stands for the reactive armor addition. Unfortunately, reactive armor system is deactivated by opening a hatches.
But it you who deem ukies a “first class” army. I for one not since you may see I put them into parentheses.
And ukie army isn’t that bad. I’d like to see how will perform any NATO army under same circumstances. NATO ran out from Afghanistan after all.

It is a new. Never heard nothing like this.
Your posts went from desperate to getting sillier.

It is all you can say? Not much indeed. Or just you forgot what you said few posts ago? “Remnants of military” you said on Russian military.
If so then what it will become ukies? “First class” I guess. No?
SO one question follows up then how so the “first class” military and armed to teeth by western weaponry still can’t win over “remnants”? Strange isn’t? Kinda remind Afghanistan again right? )))
