We are innocent until proven guilty.
Damning authoritarian tell #2: "...respect the system, which grants him that right."
We the People are endowed with inalienable rights. It is the role of Government to observe, respect, and protect them. Powers are granted to the Federal Government by the will of the People. Not the other way around.
