Perhaps if Mr Biden spent less time conjuring new names for navy ships, he'd have time to concentrate on a re-build of the Navy. He does have the time to direct the Nacy to change the name of the USS Chancellorsville, a ship named as a memorial to a Civil War battle during which thousands of Americans on both sides died.

The defense budget only increased by 3% which, because of inflation, is a cut. All of the US military is being downsized. Biden wants the Navy ship count to fall well below 300.
All of that probably is in either Joe or Hunter’s contracts with Xi Jinping. And likely was part of the still-secret discussions Biden had with XI, last they visited.
