This is insane banning a useful functional appliance for WHAT REASON??? They should have to logically justify such an extreme thing before they can do it. Where the hell does government get such power?

Wonder which lobbyists (other than the inevitable Climate Catastrophists) were pushing this. As always, follow the money.

So what gives any state the right to ban gas stoves? I wonder if a taxpayer revolt would change anything?
To: Carriage Hill
Morons. New York sits atop of two of the world’s largest reserves of natural gas - Marcellus and Utica shale formations - and they won’t take advantage of the inexpensive energy God has provided them. Instead they rather eliminate people’s freedom of choice.
Decreeing stupid is the tool of tyrants. Our founding fathers knew exactly what needed to be done to tyrants. Seems like freedom loving New Yorkers should take similar action.

Good. It’s things like this that make Democrats actually have to think.

I’ve heard that professional chefs prefer gas stoves to electric. Apparently easier to control.Restaurants prefer natural gas because it’s cheaper that electricity in most places. Chefs prefer natural gas due to flexibility for some types of cooking. Bakers prefer electric ovens due to precise and even control of temperature needed for unattended baking. Chefs are the control of their stoves, not a thermostat.

OK. So Joe Blow purchases a new home that MUST have no gas range. Tell the GenCon to skip it and install no Range. When all is done and occupancy begins, call up a propane supplier and make the install date one day after Lowe’s delvers/installs your new gas range.

Almost sounds like the EU sanctioning Russian gas on the people. New Yorker’s better rejoice about this or uni-bomber Biden will blow up some more pipelines.

Leave New York if you haven’t already. Somewhere out west, where you can be home on the cooking range.

Should it pass, the proposal would not apply to existing homes that use gas stoves or other gas-powered appliances.

This all follows the NWO plan presented at the Bilderburger Conference in the 1980s. So far, the plan is staying on track. The objective is third world living for the masses, but not for the ruling class.
