Reminds me of at least one ultraleftist candidate who ran for office locally against a Conservative Councilmember. She touted herself as having impeccable college credentials, the right race (non-White), the right gender (femanazi) and the right (Communist) ideology. She expected to be elected in a landslide in our racially mixed district. Instead, she lost, blasted our district as a bunch of ignorant racist hicks for not electing someone of her “stature”, and promptly left town.
I live here though I am not from here. I’m part of the wave of people who voted with their feet. Came here because it’s a great place to raise kids. I’ve lived all over the country and Montanas are the toughest people in the nation. I hunt and fish constantly, so it’s paradise.
Virtually every person I know who has moved here is fleeing a blue state or blue city. The Dems here are getting thrashed by people like me who are changing the demographic here.
Toughest winter in 50 years here in SW Montana, keeps the weak people put, I.e. Dems.

Second, Mallerie Stromswold is from Billings and Billings is, by college standards in Montana, inexpensive to live in.
Lastly our legislature operates for three months every two years. Those serving receive a perdiem and a veeeeery low wage only for the three months. I guess she thought she could earn a living?
