Yup. In my lifetime, the enviro-wackos have been wrong about the imminent end of the world as many times as the Rapturists have. The enviro-wackos are more dangerous in that, since they claim to base their predictions on “the science” they are taken seriously by influential people in the media and academia who are in a position to try and shove it down our throats and brainwash our children who are captive audiences in our public schools.

In the 80s and 90s, the holes in the ozone layer above major rustbelt cities were supposed to converge…..and then the sun would act like a laser death ray and burn all of us. It’s why we had to stop using aerosol hairspray.

Experienced players know you need a long enough period of time in the future so your BS is not exposed too soon, but not too long because if the predicted catastrophe is too far in the future, a majority of the population and decision makers will not care because they will be dead and gone before the catastrophe hits.
25 years seems to be the sweet spot.
You will be well on your way to retirement before the alarmist predictions don't play out and are exposed as false and the 50 year old politician demographic in charge will be 75 years old by that time - still in their prime by Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Jackson Lee, Feinstein, and Waters standards.
