Why would you hire anyone who exhibits such signs of middle illness?

Non-binary freaky people need not apply.

Given that HR Depts are staffed mainly by very woke women, I’m surprised at this. Also dismayed that the difference is only 8%.

Do you pronounce “DEIB” as “dweeb”?

Anybody who choses to make a first impression on a resume by using ‘they/them type pronouns is flashing a bright red warning to the employer that this person is going to be self involved, easily triggered, overly picky, needy of constant approval and affirmation about everything, their view is the only correct view, and the kind who’s likely to sue if every little thing does not go their way.

If I saw that on a resume, the immediate thought would be “lawsuit or HR hassle”. Big pass.

Maybe that’s because companies realize that hiring someone who announces they are referred to with such pronouns is trouble with a capital “T”. The time that will be spent appeasing them is not worth the money and effort of the on-boarding process.

So what they are tiptoeing around is that resumes that state a clear indication of trouble down the road can not be set aside?

What about resumes that state a 2.8 GPA?

Or resumes that report prior felony convictions?

What happened to the rights of employers to use whatever hiring criteria they chose?

This REEKS of prog-think.

.

Sadly, I don’t believe this one bit. I have not one but several friends who have each had several jobs and had LGBTQ+ bosses at each and every job. One friend is 12 for 12 at getting LGBTQ+ bosses.

It’s more about knowing you’d likely be hiring a buzzkill wokescold that will hurt team cohesion.
