False assumption there, bub.
Who do they think they are, Joe Biden!
In fact, US aid to Ukraine is dominated by weaponry, Euro countries’ aid (add up EU aid plus individual Euro countries aid) is dominated by financial and humanitarian aid (and the latter does not count most of the enormous cost of aid to Ukrainian refugees in Euro countries, including the private component.)
At one point recently, EU & EU countries’ total aid committed to Ukraine slightly exceeded committed US aid, but, that “lead” may well go back and forth. The US recent pledges of (mostly) military aid have now shot it well back into the lead. It’s also important not to confuse aid actually sent with aid actually appropriated but strung out into the indefinite future OR aid planned or pledged but not yet appropriated.
Looked at another way, in the case of the US, there are actually 4 time-dependent categories of aid: Aid actually sent to Ukraine, aid released to Ukraine (includes aid sent and aid committed by Biden but might take a year or more to be sent), aid appropriated (but may be spread out over several years by the various Presidential releases), and aid planned (a near continuously variable number, as policy changes make a big difference.) Sources also double count, gov’ts over-value old equipment, etc., so, it can get murky. Best might be to stick with the quantity “aid known to have been sent plus aid released for delivery expected to be within 1 year”, or something like that.
“When” is as important as “how much”. Rate matters.
The comparison Hannity stated without ANY qualification yesterday, (paraphrasal) “$120 billion US aid vs. $30 billion Euro countries’ aid” is nonsense. That kind of crap just discredits him. But... Ditto for the numbers the Ukrainians put out a few days ago.
This source, though flawed (aid pledged, but no time component, for one thing), is the best I’ve found:

Moldova is a tiny, dirt-poor, almost defenceless state. The EU and NATO wouldn’t be interested in it.
Putin, though...
What’s Moldova got that the 11 under-developed timezones of Russia don’t?
Indoor toilets?
On Putin’s orders, Russia sent chemical weapons and lethal polonium into the streets of the UK years ago. We even had civilian casualties. Salisbury - a whole town - got cordoned off for a bit while they cleaned up after the Russkies.
We were a bit annoyed, but after a cup of tea reasoned it as, “Putin’s gotta Putin. LOL.” and forgot all about it.
This is the humorous aspect of American arguments. One minute it’s “if Russia or China parked its tanks in Cuba, we’d go all out for war”, the next
- a country gets its presidential candidate poisoned on Putin’s orders
- its neighbor gets invaded on Putin’s orders
- a US NATO ally has Russians deploying polonium and novichok on its streets, ooh, again on Putin’s orders
- half of eastern Europe has its gas taps turned off because Putin decided to blackmail them
- a president of a European country is blackmailed into committing high treason in December 2013... ooh, and there’s Putin again
- Putin wrote an essay practically admitting that he’s got the same mindset as Hitler when Hitler wrote Mein Kampf
And us Europeans are just supposed to just sit back, grin and bear it, no matter what Putin does, because America doesn’t want the inconvenience.
NO MATTER WHAT PUTIN DOES, NATO in Europe mustn’t poke the warmongering retard in Moscow. We’re just supposed to let him go full space cadet and hope one day he does something even more specacularly evil like go on holiday to Alaska with a few thousand mobiks as his entourage or lob a nuke into America or something. Although, if he did nuke America, as long as it’s San Francisco, you’ll probably give him a pass for that, to save yourself from having to get out of your armchair.
That’s cognitive dissonance for ya.

A country sanctioned another, with the goal of reducing trade. Later, it complained that trade reduced.
There is a Russian community in the next town over from me. I wonder when Putti-toot will send troops to protect them?
Artillery range of Odessa. And borders with NATO.
That’s what Russia wants with Moldova.
Yes, it is rather amusing that Russia can’t make its mind up about needing a neutral, non-threatening next door neighbor keeping a distance between its borders and NATO missiles over 1000 miles away... and in conclusion decides the only way to do this is to do is park its tanks right up to the border with NATO, and stick its nukes as close to the NATO border as it can.
It’s almost as if they didn’t really feel very threatened by NATO at all, and the whole thing is a lame justification for parking its tanks as close to NATO turf as it can get away with.
Transnistria stated in1990, that they would not join Moldova if they left the USSR. Moldova left the USSR in August of 1991 and after a brief conflict, a cease fire was signed in March of 1992 between the two. Transnistria has not been a part of Maldonado since that date.
Putin had no part in this separation.
Maldonado = Moldova. I hate autocorrect.
“Transnistria has not been a part of Maldonado since that date.”
Putin has used Transnistria to undermine Modldova for years, hoping to make Transnistria a wedge into a Russian takeover of Moldova.
