I’m not going to switch from supporting Trump to supporting DeSantis, but glad to know he isn’t a neocon.
2nd, the US providing security for Europe has allowed them to shift money to funding their social welfare programs. No more, as the Europeans are more than capable of stopping Putin going beyond Ukraine.
Americans are tired of the Iraq’s, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan wars, already tired of just the possibility of another 200 billion to Ukraine, and now paying Ukrainian pensions while leaving train derailment victims in Ohio high and dry.
I hope trump leaves him alone. He’s not running for president. Governors announce foreign policy re enemies of tge state all the time
Reagan’s rule,
Since 2014 we have been building up Ukraine to become what was arguably the best ground force in all of Europe. It took a year so far, but Russia has cut their armies in half or more. Not only is Ukraine broken and out of ammunition, but NATO as well. All this talk about Russia being a third rate military? Then why is Europe/NATO/America all screaming about how the rest of Europe is next? That we have to stop them now because Putin is Hitler? We have to risk nuclear war because they are a third rate country and military?
Ok.
He’s not wrong. But it’s certainly not very Trumpian to say. “Muscular” for no useful reason. Trump promoted mutual respect amongst nations. It kept the peace, and even made NEW peace amongst old enemies (Abraham Accords, etc)
I tend to share that view I don’t have many complaints about his governorship but he has a politician unlike Trump
Pretty much my view I like the interview I just posted a thread where the reporter asked the guy you blame Russia for encroaching on NATO at the same time that NATO moves further east pretty good exchange
It’s the primaries it’s hard to avoid although Trump of course loves to be belligerent
Except for their strategic nuclear capacity (and who knows what condition that's in) their conventional military hasn't impressed. Decades of endemic corruption takes a toll. I'm not a fanboy of NEOCON warmongering, but can't find anything to disagee with in the FL-GUV's statement.
Clearly the US doesn’t need to fund operations against Russia, if they are no threat
Desanrtus leftist war hawk
Russians can’t fight sleep
They sure don’t want to fight us...
No, you are hallucinating as I never even inferred that I didn’t think DeSantis was running.
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll have to examine that exchange.
All true.
I like that Iranian Jew Who does that podcast but the guy he’s interviewing is a liberal a far left liberal the thing to look for is the actual interview with the reporter and the government spokesman ignore the loudmouth that David is interviewing
We don’t win wars because there’s no money (for the MIC) in winning, or achieving quick victory. Our forces had their hands tied in Afghanistan by the powers that be — they weren’t allowed to fight to win.
It’s the exact same mentality as with Big Pharma — why would you cure a disease when you can make a fortune treating it over years or decades?
The part where the reporter tells the spokesperson that you’re blaming Russia for encroaching on NATO at the same time NATO moves further and further east
Made me chuckle also I think he brings up the point about with Germany reunited we promised Russia not to expand NATO I think we’ve added 14 country since then
The spokes person also denies that nato would be considered an offensive entity to Russia
It’s unadulterated doublespeak
Third rate? As in allowing Communist China to fly balloons over the entire country and only shooting it down afterward because citizens spotted it and called the out? ...and then shooting down science projects in a knee-jerk reaction?
Doesn’t have anything to do with being a “Russian expert”, it’s just basic strategic thinking. “Pushing the button” gives zero strategic benefit for anyone, in fact, it creates a basically infinite strategic cost, since you instantly lose everything by doing that. So nobody will do that, except perhaps an insane person, and insane people don’t generally get given than level of responsibility where they could.
