You note: “Florida would be a nice place for the FBI... far away from DC in so many ways.”
While it’s a good idea to get the FBI out of the viper’s nest of DC, Florida is too cushy for them. It should be in Butte Montana!
For decades Butte was the office to which FBI f-ups were sent. I wonder if that is still true?
Shut down the IRS and put the FBI in there.
The FBI must be dismantled. . and eliminated. Federal policing forces will ALWAYS become corrupt and political.
One vote for International Falls, MN right here.
What’s wrong with Alaska?
Absolutely nothing. A solid choice. Point Barrow would work!
None of the above locations!
It is TIME to #DownSize_DC!
Give DC a Fleet Enema and flush it down the Potomac River.
Disband the FBI and cleanout the DOJ.
....lots of humorous posts from 1 through 67. But, realistically speaking, the only much needed “correction” that is possible is breaking up the FBI into 52 parts and cutting personnel by at least half. Other corrections could be no guns, no badges and no swat teams. Investigations only.
Most states already have at least one FBI office, each of these FBI offices could simply rent a few more square feet, buy a few gray desks and matching chairs, a few cubicles and voila!.....your in business.
CLOSE and SELL the FBI building in DC. The symbolism of doing so is important.
GREAT IDEA
The House needs to put a big no on the financing.
How about locating the FBI headquarters more centrally…say in Pierre, South Dakota? Get those career bureaucrats out of the beltway and into a deep red state far from the corruption of the Washington swamp.
You're right. But the Feds are going to build it in Virginia anyway because they like it better there.
That will be the end of Virginia as a blue state forever. Terrible fate for the home state of several of our cherished Founders.
