what really alerted me some time ago was when several university researchers asked the CDC for covid samples and were told by the CDC that;
there weren't any.!!
That was a big clue to the planneddemic yet was never put out.

Agreed. Trump’s a smart guy who makes great decisions using factual data. If facts are wrong, so too could be the decision.
And, medicine is one area that he would be unlikely to overule medical experts.
Thanks. I can understand some wanting to give Trump some leeway on the actions he took initially. But if you remember, at first he actually referred to the whole “corona is going to kill everyone” narrative as a “hoax” which I agreed with, and my position on that has never changed, even though his did.
But even if you excuse him going from calling it a hoax, to ordering vaccines without them even being tested, that doesn’t explain or excuse why he still supports them now, unequivocally. And not just the vaccines, the gain of function research, which is just as important if not even more important to put an end to. That’s not just happening in China, like Trump always says. He knows, he’s just not going to discuss it honestly.
And maybe that’s ok with most folks. I know lots of good people who still support Trump knowing he is 100% wrong on these issues, to this day. I just can’t do it, sorry.
It isn’t a choice between painting Trump as a victim versus an active participant.
Both are false.
We live in horrible times where people willingly lie, spread falsehoods and are happy to see the suffering of others, sometimes for no reason at all but that it please them. The only true difference between now and prior ages is the ability to do this across the globe simultaneously to billions of people.
No matter, I’d still take Trump back over any of the last many Presidents save Reagan, and even he had some rough spots.

I hear you and assume you are speaking with bona fides and not out to pin things on Trump. I see your point, but feel that Trump himself set up the Covid Task Force and placed VP Pence in charge (who in turn got outmaneuvered by Fauci and Birx). And Fauci endeavored to (a) cover his own butt, (b) get wealthier and (c) force any blame to fall on Trump to drive him out of office. I do see Trump as a victim of Fauci’s dishonesty in promoting bio-weapon research and his quibbling about “gain of function” or weaponizing (debated with Sen Rand Paul), for Trump to have reasonably been able to discern the potential pitfalls. Fauci was always conniving and deceitful, and actually maniacal where he himself decried “But it is worth the risks!”. We can’t pin blame on Trump to the level you propose.
On that issue Trump can’t admit he was conned!
Psychologically it’s harder to admit you were suckered then just plain wrong. Being suckered says you were a fool, not just wrong - a fool! Very hard for the ego.
As you know, I respect you, and your opinion, and am glad to have you on this board. I will vote for Trump in the general election, if he wins the primary, but will be supporting others in the primary, and will continue expressing my deep concerns about him so long as I am allowed. On my top issues, such as election security and the gain of function/vaccine debacles, I just don’t think he has performed adequately. On most everything else, such as the border, I think all the other legitimate candidates agree on stopping the influx asap. Thanks again and have a nice day, as I have to head out now.

Yes Fauci conned Trump, as he had deceived and conned Obama. Obama banned bio-weapons research by Fauci and the NIH in USA. So Fauci funded same research in Wuhan, China, and probably thought he pulled on over on everybody.
