Perot won 20% of the vote in 1992 as a third party candidate and won zero states.
Trump would likely get double (40%) of the vote as a third party candidate but no more than that. This is because a number of Republicans will vote their party no matter who runs third party. Trump will win most of the Independents, most Republicans and only a few Democrats. That won't be enough.
McGovern got about that much in 1972 and won exactly one state (Massachusetts).
In that scenario, Trump may win West Virginia only.
