There’s a major difference: nearly half of the energy produced via power plant is lost in its passage and conversion to the vehicle.
Direct gas combustion is far more efficient.

California is slowly sinking into a self-made hell hole.

"Power outages like this one at LAX are a stark reminder that California is nowhere near ready for an all-electric future when it cannot even handle power management today.
The widespread east coast/midwest power failure of August 2003 is still pretty fresh in my mind. I was in an area where the power was out for over a week. Fortunately I found a source of dry ice a few miles away that I could use to keep my refrigerator/freezer cool during those hot days. I'm sure glad I didn't have an EV back then.

Hmm. The eastern United States had a gasoline shortage a few months ago. Parts of the world are having shortages of natural gas.
Everything we use occasionally gets in short supply.

We recently found that three hours is not enough time to make a connection from an international flight at LAX.

“NO FLIGHTS WERE CANCELLED OR DELAYED”-—
MUST be total lie-—
LAX is far too busy for that kind of time gap with NO ACTIVITY
To: gibsonguy
