If Putin is the totalitarian ruler he’s portrayed to be and someone who kills off his political rivals, which he has done, do you honestly believe he would allow someone on state-controlled TV to spout off information that would look bad on his military decisions in an attempt to sway public opinion, which is why I think the article is BS. In the supposedly open society we live in, anyone in the MSM or MIC who goes on a major TV network and says Ukraine is getting pulverized they have no chance of winning is automatically called a Putin puppet and attempts are made to ruin their career and remove them from public sources. I would be willing to bet if the person in the article did say those things on Russian TV, his days are numbered.
I notice people in this forum calling each other lairs, I think they’re at least two sides in this war and people seek information that reinforces their views on the war and post it on FR, the article could be complete BS, doesn’t make the person a liar, misinformed might be a better description.
One day this war will be over and whichever side prevails, there will be some serious verbal retribution to the other side on FR.

Are you trying to argue that the clip/quote is fraudulent? Then make that argument instead of asking me to interpret the topsy turvy world of State Russian propaganda and whether or not this guy is going to get smoked soon.

If any of the reporters treated Putin like Jim Acosta did when Trump was POTUS, do you think he would still be a reporter today or somewhere in Siberia breaking rocks or dead.
If Putin is who the media portrays him to be, which I believe he’s a guy that has his political opponents killed, then what sense does it make for him to allow a reporter to trash his policies in Ukraine.
I think you hit the nail on the head. There’s so much propaganda coming from all sides that the truth is probably hiding under some rock yet to be discovered.
But when (or if) that war ends the truth will likely come out.
No, making that argument is: (1) demonstrating how the clip either doesn't say what is claimed, (2) is fake somehow (deep fake?), (3) the show isn't on Russian state tv, (4) or any type of evidence based argument that shows the clip is fraudulent in some way.
Saying, oh well this is a totalitarian regime, this guy should get killed soon, doesn't discourage me from believing in the clip. It just tells me he probably is going to get killed soon--as many have--or maybe the 50% number is actually low, and so the regime has to admit to something in order to save face with the thousands of family members who know their children are dead.
Believe what you want to believe, there is nothing I can or will do to change your mind, so why try.

If you provided evidence, I would have to deal with that evidence. I have spent years on this forum doing exactly that: posting evidence, dealing with evidence that may contradict or change my perspective.
I sat on this forum in the primaries with Trump and got shit on for 20-30 pages of posts because I posted evidence that Ted Cruz was a grifter lying about his position on immigration. I provided evidence. I dealt with counter evidence. I've had long, huge debates on all manner of topics.
NOW, for the past year, there have been no evidence based arguments. I might post evidence, but no one deals with them. They might be utterly refuted by the evidence I present, but they'll repeat the lie anyway, and deny objective reality and all facts based reasoning.
Look at the people on this thread telling us that a video which contradicts their assumption MUST be false... because it contradicts their assumption, or because of faulty reasoning like yours that avoids attempting to obtain direct, strong evidence to back up their claims.
There is no reasoning anymore on FR. It's just a bunch of degenerate animals squabbling about how great Putin is and how evil Ukraine is because some shitty blog said so, and woe to you if you disagree with them.
Like I said it’s pointless, the one thing you and I might agree on is, neither side is going to post anything to change anyone’s mind.
One day the war will be over and when it’s obvious who the winner is, then we can see who has been posting BS and who wasn’t.
