Since almost every living thing has carbon, will robots and aliens from NonCarboville run whatever paltry electricity they manage to generate?

"Minnesota House passes 100% clean energy bill: Legislation would require the state’s electricity grid to be 100% carbon-free in 17 years."
Only a liberal fool would try to outlaw 100% of carbon emissions. Some freezing winter they may be dismayed to learn that fools are combustible.

I fail to understand why the State’s fuel dealers can’t put those legislators on a ‘Do Not Sell’ list. Let them set the example and stop delivering fuel or propane to them and all their relatives.
To: Gene Eric
Yes. To pick 2030 you gotta calculate you need 17 years to get there.

So, how many trees will need to be cut to
enable enough solar panels installed to
power the state’s energy needs?
Best be saving those cut down trees for
firewood.
It’s also not a very windy state, and
rows upon rows of wind turbines won’t
contribute to additional electrical
supply.
The land of 10,000 lakes...how about
renaming to The land of 10,000,000
Solar Panels.
