Quote from FOXLA: “if George Gascón actually did his job this kid would still be alive in jail,” [the mother in the hit-and-run] Rachel told FOX News.

No, we need a blind justice system that works for everyone equally, and hands out tough sentences. We won’t get that with rats running the legal system.

You are correct. Those applauding vigilantism, or increasing violence, are very short-sighted.

Prosperous societies depend on a justice system the majority view as reasonably fair.

Without it, a general lack of trust.

Without trust, economic failure.

Here's your feel good story of the day... looks like someone took the trash!

I will hold off my celebration until the other shoe drops.

I stand against the system of pseudo justice.

One unhealthy byproduct of the corrupt and degraded American people embracing wokism and passively allowing pseudo justice is that good people have to sacrifice so much for vigilanism ("taking the law into their own hands") because we lack another system, exactly as in the Old West era. And the 1930s when going to a cop meant wondering how much he gets paid off by the mob and for which mob.

The sad story of having to pay a hit man instead of getting the scales of the universe balanced in another way, or to sacrifice one's own freedom and perhaps the chance at going to heaven, is tragic.

And in some cases the person killed wasn't the guilty one, something that the enormous wealth of the pseudo justice system has at its disposal and good people to do not.

In many cases we are in possession of knowledge kept from the jurors. Recordings of incriminating statements and confession, statements before being Mirandized, a long history of exactly the same criminal pattern, expungement or sealing of juvenile convictions and priest, lawyer or spouse secrecy.

Thus we KNOW, not sort of think, the person is guilty. But they go free.

Hillary is free; Trump and family may unjustly go to prison.

Pretty sure I don’t care. A piece of trash is dead — world is a better place.

The outcome is tangentially scriptural. The Lord tells us not to repay, but to leave it to Him. I have always taken comfort in the thought that I can abstain from taking revenge, but in this world, where He uses others to accomplish His purposes, I can inadvertently, innocently be used to repay a transgression involving another. In this sense I come out even. Possible this was the result here.

Proving once again that the real justice is street justice.

Could just be cosmic justice... which is just fine. And a hell of a lot better than our court system.

It would be better if the shooter didn’t know - saves the father and family from being raked over the coals another time.

The Lord tells us not to repay, but to leave it to Him.
The problem with that line of reasoning is that our elected officials have shown little inclination to hold lawbreakers accountable.

Thus, the persons responsible for the mayhem will continue at large to wreck havoc on innocent bystanders.

Eventually, vigilante justice will slid in to fill the vacuum.

The whole notion of consensual government is that we surrender some God-given rights to the government in exchange for them administering justice through, policing, prosecution, and judicial powers.

However, as society falls apart and justice no longer exists, people WILL take back their rights and exercise justice themselves. This is not the situation that is best, nor one that I want my family to deal with. Nonetheless, it is undeniably happening in places like Chicago and all along the southern border.

Roundabouts are a great tool and are supposed to slow down people who drive too fast. On the other hand, an interesting way for the regular Joe to get airborne.

To paraphrase a quote from one of my favorite movies (Broken Trail)

A man like that ain't worth the food he eats much less the price of a hand full of a decent grade of ammunition.

I was just speculating factiously, but His actions would not be dependent upon any system of justice humans create and would seem random to us. It is disgusting. that the “justice system” would attack the vigilante with a violence never displayed towards this sort of murderer.

Report says he (the husband) was out of town at the time.

Based on the description of the incident in the article, I presume the girl called her boyfriend and boyfriend, along with a friend driving, came to settle up with the scumbag. There was an argument between someone in the car and the “victim” prior to the shooting in the driveway of the victim’s house. Not sure if the outcome would have been any different, but this may be a case of a trash talker disrespecting someone right into his own grave.

Karma - for a lot of evil deeds - caught up with him. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.
