IMO the only reason anyone would make that statement is to TRY to assure people that their motive IS NOT anti-vaccination. They are speaking out because of personal experience and not from an agenda!

It used to take four Navy corpsmen to hold me down for polio shots when I was 5 or 6 years old.
If I found out Dad was taking us for polio shots I’d go up a pine tree and wouldn’t come down until it was dark and too late for shots. The whooping I got was better than the shots.
