“Once again Trump is on the wrong side of things..”
Yeah it sure seems he is as of late...he had better sit this out otherwise as someone else here pointed out he could lose a portion of his base.
Then again this all political theater...

Make me wonder if Trump is trying to sandbag McCarthy.

Fine, then give us a name. Someone better than McCarthy, who wants the job, and will get 218 votes.
This is the danger. All it would take for us to end up with a radical leftist as Speaker instead is for the Dems to peel off about a half-dozen rinos, who are getting tired and will vote for Jeffries just for this whole thing to be done with. For me, that's too high a price to pay for perfection that isn't there.

Being perpetually tone deaf is an even more dangerous game if you expect to win votes.

I think something is amiss. I think Trump has a quid pro quo with McCarthy and neither can let on what is happening because it is nasty.

When was the last time a Speaker was replaced after being installed? I’m not finding anything specific on the internet.

No, now is the time to extract reasonable demands from him, nothing will ever happen “later”.

You’re right. I love Trump, but man, he doesn’t have a knack for discerning who will comply with the swamp and who won’t.

While the House Clown Show goes on and nauseum, where is the same level of energy and contestation in the Senate to boot The Turdle (spelling intentional) from the Minority Leader position?
Where is the energy and and pressure to boot loser Ronna McDaniel and elect Harmeet Dhillon to take over the RNC?
Change is way overdue!!

It's possible POTUS45 is fearful of a McCarthy-Democrat coalition that would eliminate any (slim) chance of conservative initiatives over the next two years.

So the man who famously lives on the edge is suddenly faint of heart?
Gimme break. Sounds more like he’s worried a lot of his backroom deals already in place are about to go up in smoke.

Trump has always made sorry picks for advisers.

Exactly. It’s like legislating a federal “temporary agency” — it’ll be around forever. Nothing is “temporary” in the corrupt gov’t.

President Trump is now standing against all of the brave American patriots that he helped create. Well said. He’s turned on DeSantis too, who was a member of this same small outspoken conservative group when he was in Congress.
