It's Tyranny of the Stupid.
Yes guess where the cost of a new rig is going to be passed on to.
Somebody file a lawsuit to stop this BS.
Politicians are Insane
Interesting. Obviously with license plate scanners they can immediately learn the VIN number and manufacture date. Lots of money to be collected in fines.
State and municipal vehicles exempt to be sure....
Violation of the takings clause.
Applied to aircraft I hope? I’d love to see the Learjet liberals banned from the skies in California.
You’re likely correct.
School buses are typically on a 10yr replacement cycle.
But fire trucks, etc not necessarily that often.
I don’t understand the economics of trucking in CA, but there are 49 other states. Quit servicing that state.
After 40 years of Democrat rule it doesn’t have much anybody needs anyway.
Full disclosure,
born and raised in SE Los Angeles county area.
Are they asking for the beast to be starved? Sure sounds like it.
CARB regulates airport ground equip but the flying stuff is EPA regs / FAA enforcement.
Somebody file a lawsuit to stop this BS.
Seems like a taking without compensation.
Sounds like another statistic from the Institute of Making Crap Up.

Lol! Yeah, Jet A exhaust filters would look funny on those jets. Especially since their thrust would be so pathetic they would need a catapult just to taxi to the runway. Computer says time for an exhaust filter burn out (re-gen)? Better park it until that’s done, but refuel before trying to leave again, lol.
Such a huge percentage of our Asian manufactured “stuff” comes through Calif ports that they pretty much control the economy.
Here’s an idea. Don’t run into California if your rig is too old. Stop delivering to California. When they run out of product and food, they will change their mind. Work out of Nevada, and park your truck there and drive home if you live in CA. Better yet, move.
Stupid yes, but most big fleets already have trucks that aren’t that old. And since the industry has known this was coming, even most owner/ops that work CA have upgraded.
The law doesn’t apply to trucks coming in from Mexico.
