The incompetence comes from the fact that he thinks he’s got everybody fooled. Most Sociopaths fall into this trap. At some point they believe their own BS. It ALWAYS leads to their demise.

Agree. They become overly confident the more they get way with and then start making big mistakes that are hard for even obtuse people to ignore. Their demise can’t come soon enough.
