That's a false premise. Big Media doesn't give a platform to people who speak about protecting OUR borders.
Beyond that ... Since WWI, our military has been geared toward fighting foreign wars. The last time our military was engaged actively in border protection involved GEN Pershing and Pancho Villa. America has treated border protection as a law enforcement rather than military problem for a century. Even Trump treated it as a law enforcement problem. Pres. Bush tried sending Marines (IIRC) to the border in Texas; it didn't turn out well. Making border protection a military problem (again) is going to require a change of attitude at the top. That is, the President. And we're back to politicians, as we should be. Change the political leadership, then you can change the Army's tasking and mindset.
