Bezos with his. money could have made up the losses at the Post for the next 50 years without it hurting him, Charles Foster Kane he is not.

Hey!... they got advanced notice so consider themselves fortunate. Furthermore everyone knows what the economy is like now and this is the time of year layoffs etc. happen. They just don't want it to be them. Every Business I've worked at when there's a buyout or closing coming there are mega indicators months ahead you need to look for other work.

Roughly half-a-million readers have canceled their Post subscriptions since last January, the Wall Street Journal reported. The paper does not project it will be profitable in 2022. In November, the Post disclosed that its Sunday magazine was folding, with the last issue to be published on Christmas Day. The magazine’s ten staff members were suddenly notified in a meeting that the company would be letting them go.

Seems to me that management are the ones who should be let go.

I saw a video on PBS about the Denver Post newspaper losing lots of subscribers. The workers there including those that ran the paper blamed everyone but themselves and their bad bias reporting of the news. It looks like the Post employees do not have a clue either.

..employee complaints...

That sounds like hate speech to me—the Washington Post will have to censor it to save our democracy!

Bwahahahahahahaha.
